Today I’m sharing a life update on Annabelle who is three years old. Enjoy a peek at the features of a three year old (likes, dislikes, and favorites).
Annabelle Claire – Three Years Old
It’s been two months since Annabelle turned three and I already feel like we have a different little girl living in our house. Truthfully, after Ailey was born Annabelle seemed older overnight. We love watching her grow and change everyday, but prefer if time would slow down just a tiny bit.
Three Year Old Favorite Toys
Anything where she is pretending to be someone else – she loves to act (Elsa, Princess, Teacher, Mommy, etc.), Going to Ballet Class, Driving the car in the garage with Ailey/Daddy as her passenger, Coloring her family, School, Writing her name, Doctor, Grizzly Bear with Daddy, Soccer and Golf
Favorite Foods of a Three Year Old
Strawberries, Blueberries, Mommy’s egg sandwich, Cheese pizza, Mini cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and fries, Lara PB Chocolate Chip bars, Bananas, Carrot Sticks, Chex Mix
Favorite Shows to Watch
Frozen, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc Mcstuffins, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Goldie and Bear, The Wizard of Oz
Stuff a Three Year Doesn’t Like
Heights – she is terrified to climb up the playground toys alone. Naps – she stopped taking them a few months ago. Being told what to do by people her own age. Rule breakers. Strangers who talk to her. Saying goodbye to family/friends – she won’t give hugs or kisses.
Annabelle loves pink, tutus, and twirling, but will tackle her Daddy and wrestle him to the ground. She loves dancing in the kitchen while I cook, jumping on the trampoline, and making her sister laugh.
Annabelle has a grown up sense of humor and can hold a conversation like an adult. She asks “Why?” with purpose and remembers more than we ever give her credit for. She can spell her name out loud and write a beautiful upper case A.
Annabelle has trouble saying her “L” sound. Recently she has decided she would like to try and correct that, which I hate because she sounds even older than she already is. It feels like we have been telling Annabelle daily we want her to stay little forever. As parents we know it’s impossible to wish that upon a child.

What a sweet little girl! My daughter loves to act too and she loves when I make her an egg sandwich! My son is the total rule follower and while I love it sometime he takes it to the extreme LOL
