Since we bought our house, we’ve been slowly making each room feel a little more like home and less like a big, empty new space. With Annabelle and Ailey, we wanted to use familiar decor from our Georgia home as well as new pieces that they could pick out on their own. There are easy ways to decorate a child’s room – from monograms to art, you can be as creative or as simple to fits your personal style. We are so excited to work with Displate to decorate Annabelle and Ailey’s rooms in our new house.
Ailey is most definitely our flower child – rejecting conventional societal expectations and embracing peace, love, and harmony. Well… sort of. Ever since she was born I envisioned flowers and woodland creatures in her bedroom decor as they are whimsical, beautiful, and natural – just like our curly haired little beauty. Displate is an amazing company, for all of their metal posters are actual pieces of artwork designed by talented individuals all over the world. With over 70,000 designs on their website, there is so much to choose from when you’re decorating a room in your home.
Annabelle’s Room – Mermaid
Annabelle has been loving mermaids since she read about them in a book from the library, so we found the most beautiful “I Wish I Was a Mermaid” poster for her pink room. You can get 20% off anything on the site using code CAITLIN20.
I love how easy metal Displate posters are to hang in a room. Simply remove the protective backing from the magnet, place it on the wall where you want the poster to hang, and voila! The poster sticks to the magnet in seconds. We added a little bit of floral beauty to Annabelle and Ailey’s bathroom as well.
