From fish watching to book reading to enjoying a little inch of snow, these are a few of my Favorite Friday Things.
one. a few beauty picks.
I am in no way a beauty product snob and love to try new affordable items all the time. Right now, I have my staples for getting ready quickly in the morning – like dry shampoo, moisturizer, and deodorant. I’m excited to share how I get ready in 15 minutes next week with you all!
If you check out my Instagram, you’ll see I have my 15 minute hair routine on my story highlights. My trusty curling wand died a few weeks ago and I have been using my sister’s since she left it at my house on Christmas… I finally ordered myself a new one (same brand, newer model) and hope it works just the same.
two. snow day.
Even though we only received a record-breaking ONE inch of snow on Wednesday, I really enjoyed the snow day I had with my family. We played outside for awhile, pulling around a silly Ailey in the backyard and trying to sled down my brother’s hill. Then we ended the night at our favorite local restaurant, Michael’s Trattoria, for parmigiana and meatballs.
three. library days.
The girls and I haven’t been to the library in quite some time because it was hard to chase around Ailey while Annabelle looked for books. Now that Ailey is a little more controllable, we visited the children’s room for an hour this week so the girls could pick out books and dvds and visit the fish. Our local library has the greatest children’s room I’ve ever been in – there’s a giant tree to read under, lots of imaginative play areas, and SO many books. One of my most favorite places in the whole world has always been the library and I love how the girls love it too.
four. FabFitFun Box.
I was really excited to receive a complimentary Fab Fit Fun box filled with goodies in the mail this week. The Editor’s Box was stuffed with quite a few amazing products – like the coziest shawl and perfect eye shadow palette. Have you ever tried FAB FIT FUN? You can get $10 off your first box (retails $49.99) with code CATALYNBEAR at checkout.
five. the blog post of the week.
As a Mother of 2, this post touched me deep down in my soul. I cannot imagine the horror, fear, and sadness that was surging through her entire being. I don’t know this blogger – but she is amazing and strong and has inspired me to pay a more attention to the time I have with my girls. Thank you for sharing this with the world.
