Shopping for the parents of your spouse is never easy, especially if they are the type who buy themselves what they need or don’t want for much. Our go-to gift is always inspired by our children – photos, artwork, jewelry – but sometimes it’s nice to surprise the couple that raised us. I’ve put together a gift guide featuring gifts for the in-laws, containing items we have actually bought our parents or put away as ideas for the future.

1. Anything with ALEXA
We absolutely love our Amazon Echo and everyone who comes to our house does too. For my Mother-in-Law’s birthday we surprised her with her own little Alexa, but I truly think she would have loved the Echo Show instead!
2. Personalized Wine Trough
Both sets of my in-laws love to entertain and what better way to keep your wine chilled than with a wood wine trough? If that’s not their style, there are so many different wine holders in existence, like a gorgeous marble wine cooler.
3. Wine Fridge
My parents adore the wine fridge they received from friends one Christmas and use it for not just wine, but mixers for cocktails as well.
4. Home Decor
An artificial boxwood wreath is a lovely addition to anyone’s home decor because it can be dressed up or down for each season. Mirrors, art work, or even a lamp is a fun gift to give if you know your in-law’s personal taste.
5. Amazon Fire Stick
Electronics are always a great idea for in-laws if they don’t have one already. We bought my Mom a Firestick one Christmas so she could watch television easily in her kitchen without having to call the cable company. There are so many options for streaming television, like Roku or Chromecast.
6. Decanters or Wine Glasses
7. The gift of Espresso
If your in-laws appreciate a steamy cup of Espresso any time during the day, why not gift them a portable espresso maker? Or you can always buy a regular size Espresso Machine with these adorable espresso mugs.
