Life lately is exciting, chaotic, but really wonderful. Brandon went to visit family/friends in Georgia, so I parented alone for six incredibly long days. I thought it’d be easier with the girls now that they’re older, but I was wrong. I’m battling a head cold The first week in October flew by quickly and the rest of the month is packed with events, so it will go just as fast! Before we find ourselves at the end of the month, here is a peek into our life lately.
There are some big changes going on around here as I recently decided to leave my part time job as Social Media/Influencer Consultant. When I first started the position I was excited to use my creative talents somewhere else than here. However, after almost seven months of working with an awesome company, I’ve decided my creativity is needed HERE more than ever. Caitlin Houston Blog is growing and I’m excited to have the additional time to work on some fun projects. Bonus: more family time!
The Annual Town Celebration
Every year our town hosts a huge celebration highlighting the best restaurants and local businesses. Have you ever seen Gilmore Girls? Stars Hollow is modeled after where I live! The celebration is one of my favorite weekends as a resident as there is so much to do, see, and EAT.
The weather was gorgeous and perfect temperatures for Annabelle and Ailey to wear their new Dudley Stephens fleeces. I bought them a few months ago after Dudley Stephens released new colors for little girls because they’re the warmest tops. Annabelle is always cold, so she will be wearing hers a lot over the next few months.
The Beauty Products I’m Loving Lately
I love finding new beauty products to hide signs of exhaustion and this stick does just that. My fellow influencers influenced me to buy one and I now understand why it’s such a popular product.
Another brand I was influenced to try combines nature and science to create clean beauty products. The founder, Indie Lee, is on a mission to educate and empower others to make informed healthy life choices after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. I’m truly enjoying the three products below as my skin feels more moist, softer and cleaner.
What I’m Reading
The last two months I’ve been working with an intern from the local college to improve my website and social media. She is a whiz at graphics and brings a fresh new perspective to my days! We updated my Consultation Page and if you’re interested in working with me to improve your blog, check it out!
