I have been reading a lot of 2013 Resolutions on blogs…and if you follow me, you know that I have yet to post any for myself. This year I decided that I am not going to make any “resolutions” for myself.
When teaching my first graders about the definition of resolutions, I told them that they are goals to improve oneself. They are little changes you can make it your life to be more happy. Since I have embarked on my own Happiness Project, I don’t feel like I should put any more pressure on myself to change.
I have already made a lot of changes in my life in the past four months.
1. Become more positive.
2. Think before I react in stressful situations.
3. Get dressed. A put together outfit will make me feel put together.
4. Fight right.
5. Be a better sister, daughter, friend, wife.
Granted I am still working on these goals to become more happy, I feel amazing. I have noticed a change in the relationships I have with people around me – a change that is positive and noteworthy. I have made it a point to be more conscious about my moods – if I am anxious or angry, I think about why I could be feeling this way, and I either talk it out with someone, or figure out how to feel better on my own. I have done things I never thought I would do….
Unplanned happy projects: I started a dance club at my school. I went out alone for a “girls night.” I sent hearts to Newtown. I am completing 26 Acts of Kindness.

In the first month of a this new year, I can honestly say…
I FEEL HAPPY!
So why do I need to change?

Great advice! Be happy, be positive, be you! Love it!
Thanks Megaloo! xoxo
My goals for this year are not really changes to myself or way of life – they’re things I want to accomplish this year. Like skydiving and finally touching up the paint on our bedroom ceiling!
Happy New Year!
Oooo I like those!!!
So glad you are feeling better!!!! Isn’t it great! And I am sure you were REALLY happy when the snow started coming down!
By the way, did you receive the package of MonaVie? I just realized I never heard from ya. 🙂
No I haven’t!!! Otherwise I would’ve definitely thank you and told you!! 🙁
So I just had to come back and check this blog. I thought you didn’t answer me! lol. When you use the reply feature, the person leaving the comment doesn’t get notified that’s why I didn’t know you responded! I will look into it. UPS never notified me of anything going wrong. I’ll email you and let you know what happened. Sorry about that! Wish I would have asked you sooner now.
I always make goals and resolutions and never keep them – one month down is way better than I normally do.
